Jack Doyle

Countertenor Jack Doyle is a New Zealand artist from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. In September 2026, he will begin a Master of Performance in Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music in London, marking an important next step in his development as he continues to explore the expressive breadth of the countertenor repertoire. Jack recently completed a conjoint Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Music at the University of Auckland, studying classical voice with Dr Morag Atchison and Dr Te Oti Rakena. His transition from baritone to countertenor proved a defining artistic shift, opening a new world of Baroque and early music and prompting a significant technical recalibration that has shaped his emerging vocal identity.

Jack has performed internationally as a member of the New Zealand Youth Choir, including touring to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, where the ensemble was awarded Choir of the World. He has appeared with the New Zealand Opera Chorus in multiple productions and is increasingly active in concert performance. In 2026 he will sing the alto solos in Bach’s Easter Oratorio with Bach Musica and present works by Pergolesi and Vivaldi with Cantando Choir.
